CareySound is always looking for ways to improve its Rental services. Our recent dramatic reduction in rates is an example of our commitment in having the best rental operation in the state.

We are please to introduce our newest innovation, our new online reservation request form. Pressing the new "Online Rental Request" button located at the top of the Rental page of our website will take you to our new online request form. Using this form will speed your response on availability, improve our ability to better track your request and speed checkout time when you pick up your gear.

WOW! To say that our rental special has been popular would be a gross understatement. Rental demand has risen dramatically and I would like to convey our thanks to all of you for helping to spread the word. There are a few things that I need to go over–

1 - Due to the increase in demand we have been running low on some items so I strongly suggest that you reserve what you need as far in advance as possible.

2 - Rentals are 'first come — first served' are COD upon pickup–no billing.

3 - We allow guaranteed reservations only with 100% prepayment.

4 - NO REFUNDS on reservations.

5 - Late fees strictly enforced.

6 - Gear listed in our production inventory is not included in this sale.

7 - Please help us spread the word on our rental prices. The more we rent the longer we will be able to keep price down.

We are very close to being out of gear for several dates in October so call NOW. We will do our best to accommodate everybody but our inventory is limited.

One more thing. Since DVD movie rentals have taken over VHS tape rentals many have forgotten the old addage "Please Be Kind–Rewind". You are getting a great deal on your rental so please take the time to carefully rewind all of the cables upon return. Thanks!

SoundMan attended our weekly staff meeting this Monday dressed in bell-bottom jeans and a tie-dyed T-shirt mumbling something unintelligible about just getting back from a Jimmy Hendrix gig and that on Vulcan there were only two days in a week instead of our seven. What the heck?

Thinking it best not upset our fearless leader in his current condition we felt it better to just go with the flow. We decided to, effective immediately, roll back the prices on all of our rental gear by 50% until the end of the year to get into the spirit of the ‘70’s’ and buy some time to get SoundMan to the clinic to get his clock reset. We also decided to reduce our weekly rental rate to twice the daily rate so we could get a little Vulcan action while we were at it.

So quick, before SoundMan comes to his senses, tell everybody you know that it’s rental SALE time at CareySound and our silly competitors still think its 2009.

All rental gear is 50% OFF untill the end of the year including packages AND the weekly rate has been reduced to twice the daily rate. All rentals are prepaid ONLY. We will still take reservations however everyone must prepay 100% of the rental and NO cancelation refunds will be given no matter how sad your story is. LATE FEES will be fully enforced. This applies to all customers and replaces our old Key Club discounts and cross vender rentals. These special rates apply ONLY to the gear listed in the rental section and does not apply to our already low production rates.

We’ve dubbed this ‘Stack & Rack’ package the RetroRig. Straight from the 90’s we have lovingly refurbished this vintage EV sound system that came out of The Depot in downtown Greensboro. It includes 2 - EV SH-1512ER loudspeakers, 2 - Sonic double 18” EV loaded subs, an EV 7300A amplifier for the tops, a Powerful Dynacord L-2400 amp for the subs (from a Cobra rig) and a Rane AC-22 Electronic crossover. We have steeped back in time with the price too. Just as it was in the 90’s the rental rate is a recession busting $400 for an entire weekend.

From vintage to cutting edge we have the Galaxian from AMDJ. It’s a high power new laser effect that projects a galaxy of red and green laser beams over a large area and is available for only $50/day

Just in time for for the fall holiday season, CareySound Rentals has decided to get into the spirit early. We are reducing the prices on all of our rental items by 25% throughout the end of the year (including New Years Eve). We have had a great year and thought this would be a great way to thank you all for making it possible.

For those of you that haven't rented in a while and for those who might have forgotten, I would like to remind everyone that we changed our weekend rate policy back in the spring giving you the entire weekend - Friday, Saturday & Sunday - for a one day rental price. That's rent for one day and get two free on the weekend. Nobody gives you better service, better gear and better prices than CareySound Rentals.

Discount applies to retail customers only. Discount also applies to all package prices. The only exceptions are labor charges and engineered system rentals which are now handled by our event production department.

For when you just can't seem to get enough bass out of your system, add on our new EV MTL4 Sub System. The system package includes 2 - of the original bad boys of bass, the venerable Electro-Voice MTL-4 Manifold Bass Cabinets with four EV DL-18MT loudspeakers each and a powerful 2200 watt amplifier to power them with. • New Office Hours - Monday thru Friday 10 AM to 6 PM. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Other times by appointment.

• Special Weekend Pricing - Since we are not open on Saturdays and Sundays we don't charge for those days. Pick-up on Friday, return on Monday and pay for only one day. That's two free days and no price increases.

Introduced just this January at the NAMM Show, the Electro-Voice SB122 bass module is the newest addition to our rental department. The SB122 is a very compact, lightweight subwoofer system that is designed to add bass enhancement to Sx and Zx Series speaker systems. It combines the advantages of a long-throw 12" woofer with a strong, lightweight composite enclosure. The large vent provides less vent compression and turbulence for increased low frequency output. The EVS12SB cast frame transducer created for the SB122 uses the same motor and suspension design as the EVS18S used in EV's larger systems. With nearly two inches of peak-to-peak excursion capability, this is literally a twelve inch with the heart of an eighteen. Parallel it to the Zx1 full range loudspeaker without the need for an additional amplifier or processor because of a built-in low pass filter to add impressive low end output. All of this and it easily fits in the back seat of your car along with our new Entertainer System.

Our rental department is sporting a couple of new items. We have just recently added the wildly popular new Zx-1 loudspeaker system to our rental inventory. You can read all about it in the High Point Church Sanctuary Upgrade posting below.

When you need to augment the bass output of your audio system we have added the new EV SbA 760 compact powered sub system. Amazing bass output in such a small package and you won't need to rent an additional amp to use it plus it will easily fit into the back seat of most cars. Call and reserve it now.

John gives it his highest snorkel approval rating and says he would love to turn it up a little for you to jam to.
