Commissioning
The system installation trifecta we just commissioned at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist in Hickory of audio, video and lighting illustrates the blurring of once technical divides by the close integration of these technologies. And of course it wouldn't be a CareySound installation without an ample representation of the finest the audio industry has to offer in the BOSCH family of products. Electro-Voice speakers and microphones, Dynacord system processing and amplification, MIDAS mixing console, and University distribution.
Our uncompromising insistence on quality of product, workmanship, service and technical expertise ensures you the highest system performance with the lowest overall cost ownership.
So You Want To Use A Line Array
The newest addition to the Electro-Voice PA Bible EVPABible21.pdf has just been posted in the Tech Download section of the we site. It has some very insightful information on line array's and when their use is appropriate. You will also find an excellent file on line arrays in the same section called EVPABible21.pdf.

Alive With The Sound Of Music
It's that time of year again. The annual Music for a Sunday Evening in the Park (MUSEP) summer concert series began this last Sunday in Center City Park. O.K. so that's not entirely true. As seems to be a growing trend, every time Allison King is scheduled to perform in the new park it rains and this past Sunday was no exception. But have faith, MUSEP will return again next Sunday continuing to wind it's way around Greensboro parks throughout the rest of the summer bringing beautiful music to the faithful. As always CareySound will be there to make sure you can hear every note.
A complete schedule of concerts and directions to all of the parks can be found at the official MUSEP.INFO website that is maintained and sponsored by Twistedsun.net and CareySound.com by CLICKING HERE.
Ring, Ring, Ring
Everybody that knows me personally knows how I love to talk. I am known to drone on for hours rappin' db's and swappin' lies and yes it's true I have an opinion I would just love to share with you on just about any subject. However there comes a time every now and then when even SoundMan has to do a little work to keep the bills paid. It has been brought to my attention that the FOS (friends of SoundMan) are having a hard time getting through to me and for that I am truly sorry. Tommy and Dale and John and Randy and Mike and James and and and... have me about as busy as I have ever been so I have had to make a few changes to try and make everybody happy (I do have a wife I need to see every once and a while at least).
First off - I consider all of you important and believe me I'm not trying to be had to get through to, my home phone number has not changed for over 30 years and is still published. If I was trying to hide I'd have changed it and made it unlisted. Here is how to get in touch with me:
1 - For time sensitive issues I do carry a cell phone and I don't screen calls on it. If I'm not sleeping or busy with a client I will answer. I will not stop a conversation to take your call however. I'm guess I'm a little old fashioned. I think it's rude to someone that is giving me their time to interrupt them to take a call. If I don't answer call back.
2 - I don't have voice mail on my phone. Sorry, but I was getting too many messages to return and people who leave a message get mad if you don't call them back in 5 minutes so I had my cell company turn off voice mail. Again, if it's important, please call back.
3 - I have an email address (CLICK HERE). I do not live with the computer in my lap but I do check it several times throughout the day. I love email. It's the most reliable way to get through to me.
4 - I have an a personal eFax account 336-232-1337 that delivers fax's directly to my computer.
5 - I have a lot of smart people working with me that should be able to take care of most of your needs and the messages I always respond to first are the ones that are left for me at the office. Leave a message for me at the office. 336-379-1943. Office hours are M-F 10 to 6.
One more thing - It's almost impossible to get me on a Monday. That's the Day that God and I rest.
Sincerely - SoundMan -
