CareySound is much more than sound and video. Providing lighting solutions plays a large part in our product and service mix and done so since our beginnings in 1978. 25 years ago we were one of the first production companies to provide pre-rigged truss and Socopex mult connectors in the state. We were one of the first regional companies in the entire US to introduce moving lights over 20 years ago. And ten years ago we were one of the first to use moving lights for theater productions totally replacing the use of traditional fixtures.

Leading the newest trend in lighting is the use of Light Emitting Diodes (LED's) as a light source and new improved optics for moving lights that provide for huge energy savings. Witness the energy savings in our use of LED's in the recently refurbished Dillard Auditorium at Winston-Salem State University replacing a 100,000 watt system with a 6,000 watt system. In addition to the energy savings they will NEVER have to buy light gells again because of the built in Red Green Blue (RGB) color mixing produces all of the colors of the rainbow without gells. And let's not forget that even with EVERY light on there is no heat radiated from the LED's so there is no more "performing under hot lights."
